Joanne Spanner

General Manager

Joanne brings over 30 years of experience in the disability and community services sector, having worked in a variety of leadership and operational roles including Support Worker, House Leader, House Manager, Operations Manager, Service Manager, Compliance Manager, and now General Manager. Throughout her career, she has remained dedicated to improving outcomes for people with disability and supporting teams to deliver high-quality services.

Joanne holds a Diploma of Community Services, a Diploma of Frontline Management, and a Certificate in Trauma-Informed Care. She is currently completing her Certificate IV in Training and Assessment to further strengthen her ability to mentor, educate, and support others within the sector.

Joanne believes strongly in fairness, compliance, and ethical practice. She is passionate about ensuring every person with disability has access to a safe, equitable, and high-quality life. As a General Manager, she considers her greatest strengths to be her ability to listen, accept feedback, and take proactive action. Her goal is to continue growing Flourishing Lives Disability Services sustainably while maintaining exceptional standards of practice and achieving best-practice outcomes through the organisation's NDIS registration journey.

Outside of work, Joanne enjoys spending time with family and friends and values the connections she builds both professionally and personally. She is passionate about creating environments where participants and employees feel valued, heard, and supported. Just don't interrupt her when Tipping Point is on—it's her favourite television show.
