Supported Independent Living (SIL)
Our Supported Independent Living (SIL) services are designed to support people living with disability to live as independently as possible, creating a safe and empowering home environment where they can thrive.
What is Supported Independent Living?
Supported Independent Living provides ongoing support for people who need assistance with everyday life while living in their own home or shared accommodation.
Our approach focuses on building independence, encouraging choice, and supporting you to have greater control over your daily life.
-
Our SIL supports are tailored to your individual needs and may include:
Assistance with daily living tasks and routines
Building independence and life skills
Support with meal planning and preparation
Household tasks and maintaining your home
Personal care and wellbeing support
Developing confidence with decision-making
Building connections within your community
Support to achieve personal goals and aspirations
Every person’s journey is different, and our support evolves with you as your needs, goals, and confidence grow.
-
SIL may be suitable for NDIS participants who require regular support to live as independently as possible.
You may benefit from SIL if you would like support to:
Build confidence with everyday living skills.
Develop greater independence at home.
Receive ongoing assistance with daily routines.
Create a safe and supportive home environment.
Work towards personal goals and greater autonomy.

Beginning your journey with Flourishing Lives starts with a conversation. We'll take the time to get to know you, understand your goals, and learn what matters most to you.
From there, we'll create a personalised support plan and carefully match you with a support worker who complements your personality, interests, and aspirations.
Supported Rental Program
Our Supported Rental Program helps participants find safe, suitable accommodation while providing the ongoing support they need to live independently.
Working alongside a dedicated support worker and Team Leader, we'll help you identify housing options that suit your needs and goals. Once you're settled, we'll continue to provide regular drop-in support to help you build confidence, maintain your tenancy, and thrive in your new home.
We typically recommend around 6 hours of support, 7 days a week, however, every person's needs are different. We'll work with you to create a support arrangement that's right for you, with all supports subject to an individual viability assessment.
We’ll see you at your place.
Already living somewhere that feels right for you? We can deliver your SIL supports within your own home.
We’ll work with you to understand your support needs and assess whether your home is suitable, based on the property layout and relevant conditions.
Our Approach
Supporting independence, your way.
We provide guidance when needed, encouragement when it matters, and create opportunities for you to take control of your own journey. Our role is not to do things for you, but to support you to develop the confidence, skills, and knowledge to do more for yourself.
